Includes explanation of the famous EZ Pi Shawl, how to cast on from center out; how to incorporate charted lace repeats; modify existing charts and how to make your own charts. Also includes how to do random lace with no charts and border options. Included is a pattern for a basic half Pi Shawl and instructions on how to add lace patterns of your choice.

Learn how to knit or sew a border onto any shawl using traditional and improvisational methods, turning corners, staying in pattern and determining the best border for your project. Charts for borders will be included.
Many shawl and raglan designs use lace patterns. Incorporating lace patterns in the increase areas is very important. Learn three approaches to continuing increases seamlessly into lace patterns, whether charted or Crazy Lace into any expanding shape. A pattern for a top-down triangular shawl will be included.
